audiobridge, a Bay Area music tech startup, features ‘a recording studio in your pocket’ as an innovative app that allows for easy music collaboration. The company has just closed a $500,000 seed round of funding. audiobridge plans to use the investment to develop operations to increase the prominence of the app, to develop the app’s technology, and to further build the team.

CEO and founder Matt Miller said, “It’s great seeing audiobridge come to life after years of creativity and effort. The team and I are excited to watch how our work will make it easier for people to make music all around the world. I’m excited to have found great partners and investors that understand my vision and are going to help us make audiobridge a success.”

The investors have extensive knowledge of the music industry, as many have been heavily involved as musicians, and have also invested in other groundbreaking companies of the music world.

Initially starting as a single idea when Miller, who spent a decade in the music industry in Los Angeles, wanted a solution to the inefficient process that comes with an in-person recording studio, the audiobridge team has grown significantly as the app’s popularity continues to rise.

audiobridge was created by Matt Miller in 2015, located amid the Silicon Valley, at the heart of technology and innovation. Miller spent years in the music industry and now leads a growing software development business. His experience with both the world of music and the world of tech sparked his idea for starting a music tech startup. He realized that as technology changes the way music is received, it is also changing how it is produced and shared. audiobridge provides a solution for the expensive, time-consuming process of in-person studio sessions every time a musician wants to work on a musical idea or create a new song.

audiobridge, available on the iTunes app store for iPhone and iPad, allows for real-time mobile music collaboration on-demand. There are distinct chat rooms per session for easy communication. Multi-track recording provides a seamless integration of layers of newly recorded and existing tracks. With mixing, users can edit audio components directly from their phone as well, and control volume, fade, trim, and more. audiobridge allows for exposure and building connections, as users can share their newly created tracks to social media directly from the app.

Working with esteemed professionals in the music and technology industries, Miller and the audiobridge team are rapidly growing, and are excited to welcome their new partners.
